Job summary

iWorkforce Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator in Austin, TX to prepare, operate, monitor and troubleshoot industrial equipment for production. You will perform preventive maintenance and ensure consistent quality while meeting daily output targets.

Responsibilities include fabricating components, verifying dimensions, recording data, and maintaining a safe work environment with proper PPE. Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic math knowledge (adding, subtracting, measurements) required.
• Mechanical maintenance understanding is expected.
• Able to use hand tools and power tools for assembly and repair.
• Able to read simple measuring devices (rulers, tapes).

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job description:

As a Machine Operator, you would be responsible for preparing and performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines/equipment. Operators control and manipulate machinery in a wide variety of fields to produce goods, make repairs, or join our systems together.

Job Expectations

• Fabricate edges, sides, corner radius, angles, and sink cutouts using the tools required in the process
• Verify all pieces were checked, fabricated, and returned to the same cart number and checked in the tracking sheet as complete
• Meet daily productivity goals
• Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, and measuring their dimensions
• Record product and processing data on specified forms when needed
• Assist in minor repair and maintenance on assigned equipment
• Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof face mask, etc.)
• Assuring all work areas are cleaned and organized

Desired

• Experience in fabricating marble, granite, and Quartz
• Experience in Construction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fields
• Experience operating a forklift(clamps & vacuum lifters)
• Blueprint reading is a plus
• Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish)

KNOWLEDGE

Required

• Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, etc)
• Basic knowledge in mechanical maintenance
• Mechanically inclined (hand tools & power tools)
• Able to make precise measurements (rulers, measuring tapes, measuring tools)
