Job summary

K&S Tire Recycling, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician / Equipment Operator to maintain heavy-duty tire recycling equipment and operate related machinery in our facility in the Midwest.

The role emphasizes mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safe operation of shredders, conveyors, and load-handling equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with bearings, conveyors, and mechanical components, plus Lockout/Tagout knowledge.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance/mechanical experience required.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tire shredders, steel liberators, conveyors, screens and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and production problems.
• Change/adjust shredder knives, screens and wear components.
• Replace/maintain bearings, shafts, belts, chains, sprockets and rollers.
• Inspect motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication.
• Safely clear jams using proper LOTO procedures.
• Operate Bobcat/skid steer to load and move material.
• Identify abnormal heat, vibration, noise and wear before failures occur.
