Job summary

MCM Staffing LLC is seeking an Entry-Level Die Setter to join our manufacturing team in Rochester Hills, MI. The role focuses on basic stamping dies, tooling, and mechanical systems with on‑the‑job training during a 2nd shift (training on 1st).

You will assist with die setup, changeovers, alignments, and basic troubleshooting, while following safety procedures and 5S standards to ensure quality and uptime on stamping presses. This is a full-time position with room for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Familiarity with metal stamping, press operations, or die components is a plus.
• Ability to read basic work instructions or blueprints preferred.
• Strong attendance, reliability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with die setup, changeovers, and adjustments on stamping presses.
• Support the production team in maintaining efficient press operations and uptime.
• Learn proper die alignment, clamping, and securing techniques.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of dies and tooling issues.
• Inspect parts to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S standards).
• Work closely with supervisors and experienced die setters for training and development.
