Job summary

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. is seeking a 1st/2nd Shift Industrial Machine Builder in Milwaukee to assemble fabricated and machined components under the direction of the Assembly Manager.

The role requires strong mechanical ability, overhead crane operation, and adherence to quality standards. You will read blueprints, perform complex assembly, and complete monthly safety training while supporting customers and maintaining a safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Verbal and Written Communication skills are required.
• Attention to detail, thoroughness, problem solving, and follow-through are essential.
• Must be able to perform basic math and metric conversions.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated and machined components to specification.
• Rig and load trucks using overhead cranes independently.
• Perform advanced machinery assembly and inspect final parts.
• Understand blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Repair heavy industrial equipment when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and support safety training.
• Assist internal and external customers and provide backup as needed.

• Very strong mechanical ability to assemble fabricated and machined components.
• Rig and load trucks using overhead cranes independently.
• Ability to perform advanced small to large machinery assembly.
• Full understanding of blueprint readings and schematics.
• Experience repairing heavy industrial equipment preferred.
• Determine proper tools and machinery required to complete the production schedule.
• Complete final inspection of all parts to meet quality standards.
• Complete required monthly safety training.
• Support both internal and external customers.
• Provide support and backup as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Ability to weld preferred, but not required.
• Help drive and support BCT’s Culture and Core Values.

• Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to make metric system conversions.
• Basic Mechanical Knowledge.

Education/Experience

• Overhead crane experience required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or similar setting required.
• Experience with industrial heavy machine assembly preferred.
• Hydraulics experience is a plus.
