Job summary

Vestis in Chicago is seeking a warehouse associate to support a busy laundry operation. You will work as part of a team to ensure safe, expeditious handling of merchandise into and out of the facility, with emphasis on accuracy and quality checks throughout the process.

Key tasks include preparing the workstation, transferring items to hanging aids, dressing shirts, and shaping pants on hangers. Attention to detail and reliable attendance are essential; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work station for daily tasks.
• Transfers hangers from hanger rack to shirt or pant hanging aid.
• For shirts, dresses shirt on hanger and align sleeves as needed.
• For pants, handle hanging process and crease alignment.
• Identify merchandise repairs and tag items needing repair.
• Ensure garment is placed on an open conveyor pick.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow production practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
