Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its industrial laundry facility. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on high-volume washers and dryers, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and keep downtime to a minimum.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical aptitude.
• Familiar with standard maintenance procedures and safety techniques.
• Basic knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and codes.
• Able to follow training and written/verbal instructions.
• Good verbal and/or written communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintains plant equipment including high-volume washers/dryers.
• Repairs or replaces equipment; basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
• Troubleshoots technical issues using manuals/schematics.
• Orders parts/tools per policy and maintains maintenance schedules.
• Handles waste solids removal and wastewater-related tasks.
• Performs preventative maintenance and housekeeping for related hardware.
• Maintains safe/clean environment; follows safety practices and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Other duties as required or assigned.
