Job summary

Vestis in Union, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Loader to join an industrial laundry team. You will load and unload merchandise, follow load sheets, and maintain safety and quality standards on the floor. The role requires good math, strong communication, and the ability to work with a production plan; weekend shifts and overtime may be required. Shift is 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The compensation ranges from $14 to $21.79 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following the days production plan.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.
• Work is based on a shift schedule and may include weekends.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with load sheet and builds loads one day ahead.
• Follows load building guidance and places items in order by weight, size, type, and other specs.
• Identifies and segregates mats not meeting quality requirements (stains, gum, rips, tears, holes, wet).
• Monitors merchandise not meeting specified quality standards.
• Maneuvers carts up to 50 lbs or greater and observes safety standards.
• Informs supervisor of shortages every 2–4 increments per market center reporting.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and follows production best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
