Job summary

Surfside Laundry in Foley, AL, is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial laundry equipment, including shuttle systems, conveyors, dryers, washers, boilers, and air compressors. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills and a commitment to safety.

You will perform preventative maintenance, read schematics, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and keep operations running

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining industrial laundry equipment or in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with dryers, conveyors, shuttle systems preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Welding and fabrication skills a plus.
• Commitment to safety and clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial laundry equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot and maintain shuttle systems, conveyors, industrial dryers, washers, and finishing equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect equipment regularly for safety and operational efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and machinery.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout policies, and company guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work area.
• Work closely with production management to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
