Job summary

Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial washers and dryers at customer sites in Florida. You will diagnose faults, guide customers on maintenance, and perform preventive tasks to keep equipment running at peak efficiency.

The role requires reading schematics, working with single‑phase electrical systems, and maintaining accurate service reports. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial/military/industrial/manufacturing equipment repair preferred; equivalent training considered.
• Knowledge of single-phase electrical power required.
• Comfort with phone and email/ticketing-based customer support preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; able to self-prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Commission new commercial washers and dryers to spec—mount, level, connect, and verify safe operation.
• Diagnose electrical/mechanical faults; repair and test for proper functionality.
• Guide customers on use, care, and routine maintenance after installs or service.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and determine parts repair vs. replacement.
• Research, source, and order parts; verify accuracy against work orders and timelines.
• Document work performed with clear, complete service reports; log expenses promptly.
• Maintain organized inventory in your assigned company vehicle.
• Travel within territory for scheduled and emergency calls; respond to urgent issues as assigned by the Service Manager.
• Escalate complex problems appropriately and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Support additional department activities to keep operations efficient.
