Job summary

Turner Industries in Decatur, AL is seeking a Laborer to assist skilled construction workers and perform a variety of manual tasks on site. This non-exempt role reports to the foreman and follows site procedures as the project progresses toward completion.

Qualifications

• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Digs, spreads and levels dirt and gravel, lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies; cleans tools, equipment, materials and work areas.
• Mixes, spreads, or pours concrete, asphalt, gravel, or other materials; joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe.
• Performs a variety of non-machine tasks as directed by supervisor; project progresses toward completion
