Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Lab Technician in Camp Hill, PA, to perform chemical reagent testing, sifting, and analysis in a laboratory setting within an industrial milling facility. The role emphasizes data entry into Excel and PLC systems, with a focus on quality control and product consistency. The position is contract-to-hire, fully onsite, with a third shift from 10:00 p.m.

to 6:00 a.m. and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Some prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
• Associates Degree in sciences is a strong asset for this role.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a significant plus.
• Experience in quality control or industrial laboratory environments is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and data entry.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve finished product samples from the mill for testing and analysis.
• Perform chemical reagent testing on flour and other products per procedures.
• Conduct sifting, measurements, and analytical tests to evaluate quality.
• Carry out laboratory analysis and QC checks to meet specifications.
• Accurately record test results using Excel and data-entry tools.
• Enter and maintain data in databases and PLC systems.
• Follow lab techniques and protocols for reliable outcomes.
• Identify and report deviations or nonconforming results.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory work area per guidelines.
• Work weekends and third shift hours to support production and testing.
