Job summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Journeyman Electrician to join our Industrial and Automation division in Utah.

The role focuses on automation, motor controls, and power systems, working in field and shop environments to deliver high-quality installations. Candidates should have solid industrial experience, be proficient with three-phase power, PLCs, HMIs, and drive systems, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Journeyman license is preferred and MSHA site familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with industrial automation and control systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and install new or modified electrical systems in manufacturing, mining, and related facilities.
• Install Motor Control Centers, pumps, conveyors, controls, instrumentation, and main distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and determine adjustments or replacements as needed.
• Perform lockout-tagout procedures for safe maintenance.
• Read prints, interpret controls, and troubleshoot motor control systems.
• Work with three-phase power distribution and drive controllers (VFDs).
