Job summary

Smardt Inc. is seeking an Insulator to install insulation on pressure vessels, piping, and related equipment for our cooling systems.

You will measure, cut, and fit insulation to exact specifications, using adhesives and fastening systems while maintaining safety and quality. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Boiler Shop, Refrigeration, and Quality teams to ensure on-time, compliant insulation activities that enhance energy efficiency and product appearance.

Qualifications

• Experience installing insulation on pressure vessels, piping, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to measure, cut, shape, and fit insulation to meet specs.
• Comfort with adhesives, tapes, and installation methods.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting and adhere to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and install insulation on vessels, piping, compressors, and related equipment.
• Apply insulation using approved adhesives, tapes, and fasteners.
• Inspect installations for fit, workmanship, and compliance with specs.
• Maintain tools and workstations in clean, organized condition.
• Support production activities and report any issues or hazards.
