Job summary

Zachry Group in the United States is seeking an Industrial Journeyman Insulator to apply insulation to pipes, ducts, and equipment in line with project specs. You will read blueprints, select materials, measure and cut insulation, and install with attention to safety and quality.

You must have 4+ years of insulation experience on industrial construction, reliable transportation, and the ability to work overtime as needed. You may ascend heights and operate with PPE in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years working as an Insulator on industrial construction projects.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and drawings to perform duties.
• Knowledge of insulation types and their applications.
• Know how to place insulation around equipment, ducting, or piping.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work full schedule plus overtime with little to no notice.
• Willing to work safely and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Follow all company and site rules and regulations.
• Must have required tools.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities, and sizes.
• Identify tools and materials required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and required precautions.
• Measure, mark, and cut insulation to specifications.
• Fabricate, fit, and shape insulating material around equipment.
• Identify and mix paint and coatings as required.
• Apply proper techniques to place or replace insulation.
• Work at heights using ladders or scaffolds safely.
• Clean up work areas.
