Job summary

Norrell Construction, Inc. is seeking an Instrument Fitter to join the Gulf Coast team in Sweeny, TX. The role involves assembling, mounting, and installing instruments, piping, and tubing used in industrial construction and manufacturing.

You will collaborate with electricians, managers, and technicians to ensure instruments function properly and monitor parameters. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of instrumentation fitting experience, hands-on calibration skills, and the ability to interpret

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as Instrumentation Fitter.
• Ability to work with low and high-pressure tubing/piping.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Willing to follow all policies and guidelines.
• Willing to assist in additional duties.
• NCCER Certified and have TDLR.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Read prints and P&IDs to interpret work and required tools.
• Install instrumentation that transmits, records, and controls equipment.
• Work with piping systems to install instrumentation for operation.
• Calibrate instrumentation and adjust components with precision tools.
• Run conduit, place sensors, mount gauges, and connect process lines.
• Use journeyman tools and power tools as required.
• Read blueprints and fit mechanical components accurately.
