Job Summary
This position provides industrial injury prevention program services focused on total worker health.
Services are provided within OSHA first aid guidelines across a region at designated service centers.
This role supports a utility company and involves primarily outdoor work.
Region covered: Bishop and Mammoth Lakes.
A $1,000 sign-on bonus and up to $1,500 in relocation assistance are included!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide triage, first-aid, education, and escalation of care if needed.
- Facilitate ongoing communication with all parties involved in managing an injury case.
- Support injured employees, monitor medical care, promote reporting, and participate in investigations.
- Assist in finding modified work in compliance with physical restrictions.
- Help prevent musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses through ergonomic analyses and recommendations.
- Provide on-the-job education on body mechanics and postural habits.
- Assist employees in lifestyle improvements related to health and stress management.
- Address risks related to workers' total health to reduce injuries and illnesses.
- Develop job-specific agility routines and programs for injury prevention.
- Minimize injury risks through education, ergonomic advice, and first aid.
- Engage proactively with employees at work locations.
- Maintain records of all assessments, care, and education provided.
- Understand site operations to make effective injury prevention recommendations.
- Leverage technology to support worker health initiatives.
- Collaborate with other service lines within WorkCare.
- Perform additional duties as assigned for operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or related field.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Education in injury prevention, assessment, emergency care, therapeutic intervention, and healthcare administration.
- Experience in orthopedics, wellness, occupational health, or ergonomics is a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in relevant field.
- Ergonomic Certification.
- BOC Certified AT, in good standing.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.

- Work Environment
- Frequent outdoor work in various weather conditions.

The work hours are Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm PST +/- 1 hour based on site needs.
The hourly pay range is $37.00-$44.00. Actual compensation depends on experience and qualifications.
