Job summary

OxyChem Niagara Falls facility in Ontario, Canada is seeking an experienced Instrumentation / Electrician Technician to join a 24/7 chemical manufacturing team. You will perform PMs, repair and maintain electrical equipment including motor controls, valves, transmitters and analyzers, read drawings, and follow specifications to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications include a Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) for Instrumentation or Electrician, knowledge of OHSA, and

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate basic computer software applications as well as Outlook and to conduct research using the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document PMs and the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment (motor/motor controls, valves, transmitters, analyzers).
• Read drawings and follow specifications.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays to maintain a 24/7 plant.
