Job summary

COMPA Industries in West Milton, NY is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join a team at the Kesselring Site on-site. You will conduct and document industrial hygiene exposure assessments across site processes, with emphasis on accurate judgments and field work in industrial areas.

The role requires DOE L clearance, a BS in a related field with 5–10 years IH experience, and strong communication and teamwork—working full-time, 40 hours weekly, on-site, for an 18‑month contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in industrial hygiene including sampling and calibration of industrial hygiene equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and teaming skills with the ability to coordinate multi-discipline teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document industrial hygiene exposure assessments for site processes.
• Perform field surveillances, conduct workforce interviews, and review established procedures.
• Perform industrial hygiene sampling for hazards including asbestos, silica, volatile organic compounds, and welding fumes.
• Perform noise dosimetry and area noise measurements.
• Review industrial hygiene data and interpret sampling results.
• Assist with general industrial hygiene work for the site and support industrial hygiene exposure judgments.
