Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a qualified Industrial Hygienist for a position at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role involves supporting IH program managers with data reviews, workplace investigations, and QA/QC of sampling data, including air sampling and surface wipes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with extensive experience in industrial hygiene, and familiarity with 10 CFR 850 is preferred.

Job Description

The Industrial Hygienist will support provide the following support:

• Assist Industrial Hygiene Program Managers in executing technical data reviews.
• Conduct workplace investigations when Standard Threshold Shifts (STSs) are identified.
• Conduct Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews of physical, chemical, and biological exposure sampling data (e.g., air sampling, surface wipes, direct-reading instrumentation).
• Perform office ergonomic assessments, user symptoms, corrective actions, equipment recommendations, and follow-up verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline and 10+ years of experience OR
• Master’s Degree in relevant discipline and 8+ years of experience
• Experience with 10 CFR 850 is preferred

Other Job Requirements

• United States Citizenship
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Security Clearance.
