Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to build and own the IH program from the ground up in a high-growth manufacturing startup.

You will lead air monitoring, noise surveys, and PPE programs, collaborating across engineering, operations, and leadership to protect employee health and strengthen the safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of Industrial Hygiene experience in manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments.
• Experience with air monitoring, noise assessments, PPE programs, and ergonomics.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ACGIH guidelines, and exposure assessments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Comfortable working in respirators and protective equipment when needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and launch company's Industrial Hygiene Program.
• Develop air quality, sampling, monitoring, and exposure assessment programs.
• Lead noise surveys, air monitoring, and chemical exposure evaluations.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and improve workplace safety.
• Help establish PPE standards and respiratory protection programs.
• Coordinate employee health testing (audiometric, pulmonary, etc.).
• Perform respirator fit testing and safety audits.
• Partner with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations that drive action.

What We're Looking For
