Job Description

ProSidian Seeks an Industrial Hygiene Technician - Engineering (IH 102) Engagement Team | Senior Consultant - Labor Hour Subcontract located Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina supporting a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Seeking Industrial Hygiene Technicians candidates (Labor Category: Industrial Hygiene Technician) at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina. This is a Labor Hour Subcontract or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as an Industrial Hygiene Technician (IH 102) at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The purpose of the position is to provide field support for the Industrial Hygiene Program, ensuring Federal, State, Company, and Site requirements regarding exposure to potential physical and chemical hazards to facility personnel. Functions include but are not limited to:

1. Perform field industrial hygiene evaluations (e.g., heat strain, chemicals);
2. Perform worker exposure assessments for chemical and physical hazards;
3. Prepare technical reports;
4. Communicate issues and results with employees and management in a professional manner.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For Industrial Hygiene Technicians - Engineering (IH 102)

Liquid Waste shall review the Subcontractor personnel resumes. May be required to drive government vehicles. Will be required to pass testing for Radiological Worker II.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

All candidates shall have 3+ years’ experience providing industrial hygiene / technician experience, or 5+ years experience troubleshooting or repairing mechanical equipment or electronics.

Skills Required

Candidate shall have operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint). High school diploma or equivalent required.

Ancillary Details Of The Roles

The 40-hour workweek schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate the current demand of work evolutions and shift rotations. Candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules.
