Job summary

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician I to support a mining client in the Elko, Nevada area. This is a planned 6-month contract assignment working four 10-hour days each week.

The role involves assisting with workplace exposure monitoring, sampling, equipment calibration, data management, and regulatory compliance while promoting a safe and healthy work environment. Candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills and be able to work both

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database management.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industrial hygiene sampling for noise, dust, gases, and other workplace exposure agents.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain industrial hygiene sampling equipment.
• Perform pre- and post-calibration of monitoring equipment while maintaining calibration records.
• Utilize dosimeter software to configure and calibrate noise monitoring equipment.
• Enter and maintain sampling data within Cority and other required databases.
• Upload laboratory requisitions, exposure results, and related documentation accurately.
• Coordinate sampling schedules and communicate with site personnel regarding monitoring activities.
• Manage inventory of sampling media, equipment, and supplies.
• Support gas detection systems, monitor equipment inventory, and maintain operational readiness.
• Assist with field exposure monitoring and industrial hygiene projects.
• Participate in safety meetings and support site safety initiatives.
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate concerns to supervision.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, MSHA requirements, and occupational health and safety standards.
