Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Specialist to join our Sustainable Operations team in the Fair Lawn, NJ office. This role involves roughly 75% fieldwork and 25% office work, with duties including asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality, and mold assessments, plus report preparation and project oversight.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience, relevant licenses, and will help drive innovation within the Industrial Hygiene practice while mentoring junior staff and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a science-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in professional services or consulting.
• State-specific asbestos training and licensure.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and state regulations for asbestos and related materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, bulk sampling, abatement oversight, air monitoring and assessments across diverse facilities.
• Develop technical memoranda, summary reports and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with agencies, management, staff and subcontractors to define project scope and schedules.
• Review field observations and lab data to support project decisions.
• Prepare proposals with senior staff and assist with scoping projects.
• Mentor junior staff and support knowledge transfer within the IH group.
