Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to oversee environmental consulting projects from planning to completion. You will coordinate scope, schedule, and budget while mentoring staff and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities include financial oversight, reporting, and leading field and office teams to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil/Environmental disciplines
• P.E. or P.G. preferred
• Licensure or certifications may be required depending on work type
• Strong knowledge of environmental principles and applications
• Familiarity with environmental regulations, permitting processes, and test methods
• Strong project management and consulting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Strong decision-making and organizational capabilities
• Proficiency in environmental sampling methods and project execution
• Ability to mentor and develop technical staff
• Ability to lift and carry field equipment (~40 lbs)
• Must have a valid driver's license; driving may be required

Responsibilities

• Manages environmental projects from initiation through completion
• Coordinates scope, schedule, budget, and resources
• Mentors junior staff and supports team development
• Attends project meetings and resolves issues
• Maintains client communications and relationships
• Builds client database through project and business development
• Manages budgets and monitors financial performance
• Prepares change orders, invoices, and supports collections
• Schedules, trains, and oversees field staff
• Prioritizes activities to meet deliverables and budgets
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously
• Prepares proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and change orders
• Prepares environmental reports, analyses, and recommendations
• Reviews deliverables prior to senior review
• Leads project discussions with clients and stakeholders
• Coordinates field and office resources for execution
• Performs additional project management and technical duties
• Manages asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality projects
• Directs remediation and abatement activities
• Oversees subcontractors and field personnel
• Reviews daily reports and project documentation
• Conducts site visits to assess progress
• Ensures compliance with regulations and certifications
• Prepares technical reports and recommendations
• Communicates progress and milestones with clients and leadership
