Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group is seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist (occupational & public safety) for a full- or part-time role. The position supports evaluating risks across residential, commercial, industrial, and public venues, with travel to Maryland, DC, and Virginia areas and occasional nationwide trips.

The incumbent will conduct investigations, analyze exposure to hazards, and prepare formal reports.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a science or engineering field.
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
• Strong regulatory experience specific to OSHA regulations (federal and/or state).
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and wear a tight-fitting respirator.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze existing conditions in various venues (residential, commercial, industrial, public).
• Evaluate and control exposure to health hazards (noise, air quality, mold, asbestos, etc.).
• Operate sampling and testing equipment.
• Communicate project scope, schedule, and budget with clients.
• Prepare oral and written reports documenting findings, analysis, and conclusions.
• Potential testimony in deposition or trial.
• Travel locally and occasionally overnight for assignments.
