Job summary

SMITH INDUSTRIAL SERVICES is seeking a Technician in the Industrial department to perform hydro blasting services and vacuum hose operations safely and efficiently. The role requires adherence to safety policies, completion of required training, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities include operating vacuum trucks, executing hydroblasting tasks, loading and unloading gear, and assisting other crew members while maintaining equipment and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years physical work experience preferred.
• Must pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check.
• Industrial or construction experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum truck and hydroblasting services (Lance/Shotgun).
• Load/unload equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Perform general maintenance on machinery and tools.
• Follow safety procedures, complete JSAs, lockout/tagout, confinement safety.
• Communicate issues to Crew Leader/Industrial Manager.
• Travel as required.
