Job summary

Applied Fluid Power is seeking an Industrial / Hydraulic Technician to inspect products and apply hands-on experience with Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic assemblies. You will support the best sales team by ensuring quality and aiding customer satisfaction through testing and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 5+ years’ experience in 3-phase 480V systems, schematics reading, and willingness to travel for customer site work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/technical schooling preferred or plus.
• 5+ years of experience with 3 phase 480v systems with soft starts and VFDs.
• Must be able to read schematics and collaborate with engineers to select components.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations when needed (not frequent).

Responsibilities

• Visually verifies product compliance to customer and company specifications.
• Functionally verifies product performance to defined test criteria.
• Uses hand and power tools, electronic and pneumatic testing fixtures and devices.
• Completes department work assignments in a timely manner.
• Creates rework instructions or redlines documentation and communicates corrective action.
• Shifts priorities as needed and directed.
• Keeps tools and workstation organized and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Engineered Sales, an Applied Fluid Power subsidiary, is currently looking for an Industrial / Hydraulic Technician to join our team. In this role you’ll be inspecting product and using your knowledge and experience from working on Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic, and/or Pneumatic assemblies. You’ll leverage all that hands on experience in your background and put it to good use helping us to please our customers and gain new ones.
We’ll look to you to lead the charge in this area as your work helps to support the industry’s best sales team.

Position Responsibilities

• Visually verifies product compliance to customer and company specifications.

• Complete department work assignments in a timely manner.

• Shift work assignment priorities when needed and as directed.
• Responsible for organization of tools and work station cleanliness.

Position Requirements

• Must be able to read schematics and work with our engineers to pick out appropriate components.
• Must be willing to travel to customer locations during special circumstances when needed (does not happen very often)
