Job summary

Applied Fluid Power, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is seeking an Industrial/Hydraulic Technician. You will inspect products, read schematics, and apply your hands-on experience with mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies to support our sales team and satisfy customers.

You’ll lead testing, document actions, and collaborate with engineers to select components. This role emphasizes field service readiness, tool organization, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade/technical schooling is a plus.
• 5+ years with 3-phase 480V systems and VFDs.
• Ability to read schematics and collaborate with engineers.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Visually verifies product compliance to specifications.
• Functionally verifies product performance per test criteria.
• Uses hand and power tools, testing fixtures and devices.
• Completes department work on time.
• Creates rework instructions and communicates corrective actions.
• Shifts priorities as needed by direction.
• Maintains organization of tools and workstation cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Engineered Sales, an AppliedFluid Powersubsidiary, is currently looking for an Industrial / Hydraulic Technician to join our team. In this role you'll be inspecting product and using your knowledge and experience from working onMechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic, and/or Pneumatic assemblies. You'll leverage all that hands on experience in your background and put it to good use helping us to please our customers and gain new ones.

We'll look to you to lead the charge in this area as your work helps to support the industry's best sales team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Visually verifies productcompliance to customer and company specifications.

• Functionally verifies product performance to the defined test criteria.

• Utilizes hand andpower tools, electronic and pneumatic testing fixtures and devices.

• Complete department work assignments in a timely manner.

• Create rework instructions, or redline documentation and communicate corrective action direction to the appropriate parties when necessary.

• Shift work assignment priorities when needed and as directed.

• Responsible for organization of tools and work station cleanliness.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED Required

• Trade school, technical school education, and/or military schooling preferred or a plus

• 5+ years of experience with 3 phase 480v systems with soft starts and VFD's

• Must be able to read schematics and work with our engineers to pick out appropriate components.

• Must be willing to travel to customer locations during special circumstances when needed (does not happen very often)
