Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in automotive/diesel/heavy industrial equipment.
• Capable of repairing large industrial equipment such as gearboxes, motors and pumps.
• Basic machining knowledge and welding experience preferred.
• Able to read blueprints and troubleshoot with analytical thinking.
• Able to pass OSHA training and operate a forklift and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble new and repaired gearboxes.
• Disassemble geared products when necessary.
• Accurately measure gears, shafts, and housing bores with calibrated tools.
• Read assembly drawings and check accuracy against blueprints.
• Assemble shafts, gears, bearings, and lubrication systems.
• Set up gearboxes to meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform light welding and operate forklift/crane.
• Rigging of materials and ensuring safety.
