Job summary

HLBMA LLC seeks a highly capable Fire Safety Technician to support fire prevention and emergency response within a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility. The role focuses on fire protection system inspections, incident response, and regulatory compliance to safeguard employees and operations.

Responsibilities include conducting hazard assessments, maintaining equipment, training personnel, and coordinating with local responders to ensure rapid, effective action during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's in Fire Science, Emergency Management, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required or obtainable within 90 days.
• Incident Safety Officer (ISO) certification preferred.
• ICS 100 and ISO 200 certifications preferred.
• Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations or Technician certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine fire safety inspections to identify hazards.
• Inspect and maintain fire protection systems (extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, gas detectors).
• Support emergency response, evacuation, and incident stabilization.
• Coordinate with local fire departments and mutual aid partners.
• Conduct fire safety training and drills for personnel.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, training, and compliance.
• Assist with hot work permitting and fire watch requirements.
• Ensure readiness of emergency response equipment and vehicles.
