Job summary

Thermo-Trol Systems Inc. is seeking an Industrial Field Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs. This role requires working independently in fast-paced field environments.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, interpret schematics, and ensure safety procedures, with travel to project sites as needed. Competitive hourly compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA software and programming tools.
• Familiarity with VFDs.
• In-depth understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints, wiring schematics, and diagrams.
• Ability to accurately identify and distinguish between color-coded wiring and safety markings under various lighting conditions.
• Ability to safely install, troubleshoot, and terminate control circuits according to schematic diagrams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and instrumentation.
