This role involves overseeing and leading the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) process for large-scale projects. You will work with the VDC team to create and maintain Building Information Modeling (BIM) models, perform clash detection and coordination, and produce 3D visualizations and animations. You will also implement and oversee VDC technology initiatives to support project goals.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the VDC process for complex projects using software like Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, etc.
  • Create and maintain BIM models with relevant software.
  • Perform clash detection and coordination.
  • Produce 3D visualizations and animations.
  • Implement and oversee VDC technology initiatives such as laser scanning, drones, and virtual reality.
  • Support software and hardware systems used by the VDC team.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of BIM models and deliverables.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs.
  • Mentor and train junior VDC specialists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
  • Associate’s degree or certificate in CAD, BIM, VDC, or related field with 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 4 years of relevant experience, or
  • 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
What You'll Bring:
  • Knowledge of advanced VDC concepts like BIM LOD, clash detection, and coordination.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, etc.
  • Experience with VDC technologies such as laser scanning, drones, and VR.
  • Leadership ability for large-scale projects.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Experience with web development frameworks like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
What We Prefer:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.

Pay ranges vary by location, e.g., New York: $93,650 - $183,098; Los Angeles: $107,697 - $168,450; Colorado: $103,015 - $161,126; Minnesota: $98,332 - $153,802; Illinois: $103,015 - $161,126. Actual compensation depends on qualifications and location.
