AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an experienced Architect with a strong background in industrial facility design to join a collaborative team in Phoenix, AZ. The role combines project architect duties with project management, ensuring on-time, high-quality construction documents.

This position involves leading projects from concept through construction, wearing multiple hats, and working directly with leadership to shape projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred.
• 5+ years of architectural experience, preferably industrial or commercial.
• Experience designing manufacturing plants, warehouses, fabrication facilities, or commercial buildings.
• Proven experience producing construction documents and technical drawings.
• Experience independently managing projects from design through permitting.
• Strong understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and construction methods.
• Ability to coordinate multiple consultants and disciplines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects from conceptual design through permitting and construction support.
• Produce complete construction documents and detailed drawing sets using AutoCAD.
• Design industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and commercial facilities.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate directly with clients, municipalities, consultants, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
• Review drawings for code compliance, constructability, and permitting requirements.
• Guide and oversee drafter/designers throughout project development.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews, and municipal coordination meetings.
• Support preconstruction and construction teams with drawing revisions, RFIs, and field coordination.
• Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project deadlines.
• Maintain strong communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
