Job summary

The Jamar Company is seeking an Industrial Estimator/Project Manager in Duluth, MN. You will develop estimates for complex industrial projects, review drawings and requirements, and collaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors to ensure accurate, well-supported bids.

The role requires a two-year degree plus 3+ years of experience or 5+ years in industrial demolition and construction estimation. A valid driver's license and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years+ estimating experience in industrial mechanical systems and drawings.
• Two-year degree in mechanical/CAD drafting, engineering, construction management, architecture or 5+ years of related industrial construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and estimating software, able to learn new tools quickly.

• Develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for complex industrial projects.
• Review drawings, specs, schedules, and requirements to define scope and cost.

At a Glance

• Pay: $75,400-$113,000 annual salary; dependent on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
• Required Experience: Two-year degree plus 3+ years OR 5+ years
• Schedule: Standard full-time schedule. Work hours may occasionally vary to support project deadlines, workload, and operational requirements.
• Benefits Start: First of the month following 20 calendar days from date of hire.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced estimating professional who understands industrial mechanical construction and can turn complex project information into accurate, well-supported estimates and proposals.

• Required Qualifications
• Three (3) years or more of estimating experience with a thorough understanding of industrial mechanical systems, equipment, drawings, specifications, and techniques.
• Two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or closely related field of study OR five (5) years or more of industrial construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and industry‑related estimating software, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
• Previous project management experience is strongly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
