Job summary

Coperion, in Whitewater, Wisconsin, seeks a Mechanical Repair & Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and test industrial equipment in our on-site repair center. You will work hands-on with gearboxes, bearings, metering equipment, and related units, following safety standards and repair procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with mechanical repair experience and are proficient with Excel and ERP/CRM systems such as SAP.

Qualifications

HD diploma or GED plus relevant mechanical repair experience.
Hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and testing industrial equipment.
Ability to read work orders, procedures, and manufacturer specs.

Responsibilities

Diagnose customer-owned equipment through inspection and troubleshooting to identify repair needs.
Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble gearboxes, bearings, metering equipment and related units following procedures and safety standards.
Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation before shipment.
Document repair findings, labor time, parts usage, and status in CRM/ERP systems (SAP, CPQ) to ensure data integrity.
Build and maintain Excel-based tracking tools to monitor repair status, backlog, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with customer support and operations to communicate repair status and ensure timely completion.
