Job summary

The U.S. Fleet Forces Command at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard seeks a Production Shop Planner (Industrial Equipment Mechanic) for the temporary services shop. You will review schematics, orders and blueprints to plan maintenance projects.

You will prepare work layouts, identify materials, and coordinate with supervisors and trades to ensure timely completion while complying with safety and DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.
• Ability to plan and lay out industrial maintenance work from specs.
• Experience assisting supervisors and coordinating trades.
• Experience procuring materials/equipment through a warehouse or shop.

Responsibilities
