Job summary

Savage is hiring in Port Arthur, TX for a physically demanding role operating a bridge crane and supporting coke drum maintenance in a 24/7 industrial setting. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Bridge crane experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Must pass pre-employment checks and drug screen.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
• Experience in oil field or similar industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform decoking techniques following procedures with attention to hotspots and extra quenching as needed.
• Assist Operator to un-head and re-head coke drums and complete final sweep of drums.
• Operate bridge crane to manage pit and pad storage and load coke to hopper per procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with Crane Operator, Supervision, Managers, and Maintenance via radio and other means.
• Assist maintenance personnel with equipment upkeep as needed.
• Inspect equipment before and after operation and report maintenance needs; conduct routine audits on crane and heavy equipment.
• Keep work areas clean including structures, offices, restrooms, and vehicles.
