Job summary

Flex-N-Gate in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a hands-on Garage Mechanic to diagnose, inspect, and repair company-owned powered industrial equipment, including hi-los, switcher trucks, and company vehicles.

You will perform preventive maintenance, track parts, troubleshoot fuel and hydraulic systems, and use testing equipment to ensure reliable operation. The role requires physical stamina and a willingness to work 6–7 days per week with mandatory overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with both hand and power tools used in the field.
• Experience running overhead cranes and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot propulsion, hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical systems on industrial trucks.
• Capable of reading and applying information from testing equipment and manuals.
• Responsibilities include diagnosing issues and ordering necessary parts.
