Job summary

Paycom in Kentucky is seeking a field service technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment. You will diagnose issues from work orders, perform repairs, and verify conformance to specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience. Strong reading, writing, math, and customer communication skills are essential; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rates, ratios and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and observe/listen to truck in operation to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Record complete repair description on work order with correct model/serial and hour meter reading.
• Obtain customer signatures and communicate repair needs or completed work.
• Inspect guards, bolts, and safety devices; adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired truck to verify conformance.
• Represent Equipment Depot to customers; maintain professional image and van cleanliness.
• Coordinate with operations/service manager for routine maintenance or issues.
• Return paperwork daily; submit time cards by 9:00 a.m.
