Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is partnering with a growing customized manufacturer to identify a Machine Builder to join their team in Illinois. You will assemble custom industrial equipment by installing mechanical components, aligning assemblies, and fitting parts according to blueprints and engineering drawings.

Use hand and power tools, measuring devices, overhead cranes, and forklifts to safely build and move equipment throughout the assembly process.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of machine building or assembly within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read & interpret mechanical blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand, power & measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges, micrometers).

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom industrial equipment by installing mechanical components per blueprints and drawings.
• Use hand and power tools, measuring instruments, overhead cranes, and forklifts to build and move equipment.
• Troubleshoot fit-up or assembly issues and identify practical solutions to ensure equipment functions properly.
