Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Heavy Assembler to join our industrial production team in Illinois. The role involves assembling heavy mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components onto snow and ice control equipment, reading blueprints, and following detailed work orders to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Flexibility to work with hand and power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring devices is essential. You’ll collaborate with welders and painters, maintain a clean workspace, and uphold safety

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy assembly in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow work orders.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and measurement tools.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components onto snow and ice control equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to fasten parts securely.
• Fit, align, and adjust parts to meet specifications.
• Read blueprints, instructions, and parts lists to complete tasks on time.
• Inspect assemblies for quality and report defects to supervisors.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free work area and follow safety protocols.
• Coordinate with welders and painters to ensure smooth workflow.
• Communicate progress and resource needs to team members.
