Position Summary:
The Industrial Engineering Technician will work closely with the engineering and product development teams to conduct pilot runs, design and build assembly lines and jigs for new product launches, and other manufacturing tools to implement designs and methods that optimize operational efficiency, quality, and safety.
Reporting Relationships:
The Industrial Engineering Technician will report to the Director of DFM & Manufacturing Engineering.
Location: This position will be based in Miami, FL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist engineers in conducting pilot runs, time studies, workflow analyses, and equipment evaluations.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Help design the layout of equipment and workflow for maximum efficiency.
  • Build production lines, jigs, and manufacturing tools used to commercialize new products.
  • Recommend modifications to existing processes and equipment to improve efficiency.
  • Test and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures.
  • Train production staff in new processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Document standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in industrial engineering technology or related field - Preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • Proficiency with data collection tools and statistical analysis software
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
