Do it Best is seeking an Industrial Engineering & Operations Analytics Intern for a 10-12 week summer program in Fort Wayne, IN. The role is paid hourly and supports the Logistics Operations team in building LPOS for data-driven operations.

The internship requires you to be an active student pursuing a quantitative degree and to have strong data analysis skills. Local candidates are preferred, with potential for college credit towards your degree.

Summer 2027 – 90 day internship

About the Role

The Do It Best Logistics Team is looking to employ a self-motivated, analytical summer intern that will be paid on an hourly basis. The Industrial Engineering & Operations Analytics Intern will support the Logistics Operations team in designing and building the Do it Best Logistics Performance Operating System (LPOS), an integrated framework that enables data-driven operational excellence across the company’s expanding distribution network.

This is a temporary position (approximately 10-12 weeks) and is paid on an hourly basis. No relocation is offered, candidates must be local to the Fort Wayne, Indiana area for the Summer 2026 timeframe. The Intern may also be able to use this opportunity towards university/college credit.

Responsibilities include

• Create reports and tools on-demand
• Manipulate data from multiple sources
• Support DC operations providing training and technical support of reporting tools

Education and Experience

• Current college student
• Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred

• Experience within data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Access and Power BI.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to manipulate and analyze data
• Design User Interfaces to simplify data analysis for lay users
• Ability to complete basic statistical analysis (descriptive and inferential)
