Job summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Summer 2027) at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation will assist the Engineering Manager on projects that optimize plant efficiency. Work includes process mapping, bottleneck elimination, layout redesigns and time‑studies to develop standards.

We seek sophomores/juniors pursuing a BS in Engineering or a related field who can commit to 40 hours per week. AutoCAD and MS Office skills are preferred, with a GPA of 3.0+ expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Engineering or related field; sophomores/juniors preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills essential.
• Proficient with MS Office; AutoCAD experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineering Manager with process mapping and optimization.
• Identify bottlenecks and redesign layouts to improve efficiency.
• Conduct line balance reviews of assembly lines.
• Perform time studies and develop manufacturing standards.
• Engage in day-to-day project work within manufacturing engineering.
