Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions is seeking motivated students for our Industrial Engineering Internship in Illinois. The role supports the manufacturing plant by assisting the Engineering Manager on key projects and process improvements.

We target sophomores and juniors in Engineering or related fields who will apply college skills to real-world projects, including workflow optimization, line balance reviews, and layout redesigns.

Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing sophomore or junior year with a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• AutoCAD experience is required; familiarity with Excel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineering Manager on projects to support manufacturing operations.
• Map processes and identify bottlenecks to improve efficiency.
• Redesign and optimize layouts for better flow.
• Conduct line balance reviews and time standards development.
