Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation invites a student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering to join the Industrial Engineering team for Summer 2027 in Murfreesboro, TN. You will support production processes, develop work instructions, and perform time studies while learning ERP (JDE) and Windchill/Creo.

Eligible candidates should be willing to relocate for the summer and have interests in Torque Tools, High Voltage Systems, Cranes, and Tooling Fixtures.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or other related Engineering field
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later
• Willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN for the Summer of 2027 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Murfreesboro, TN)

Responsibilities

• Support production processes
• Able to develop work instructions
• Engage employees to problem solve
• Perform time studies
• Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality
• Source or design better tooling/equipment
• Manage project work assigned by the manager
• Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling
• Assist with plant layout and workstation design
• Learn and use ERP (JDE) manufacturing software
• Learn and use Windchill/Creo
• Interests will include Torque Tools, High Voltage Systems, Cranes and Tooling Fixtures
• All other duties or projects as assigned
