Job summary

IET, Inc. in Toledo, OH is seeking a manufacturing/process improvement professional to join our dynamic team. The role focuses on collecting production data, performing time and motion studies, and supporting standard work development and workflow documentation.

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop SOPs, and collaborate with engineers, operators, and supervisors to implement improvements across manufacturing processes in diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Full-time employees must be willing to relocate to Toledo, OH or surrounding area.
• 2-5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
• Must be proficient with MS Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze production data to measure productivity, efficiency, labor utilization, and workflow performance.
• Conduct time and motion studies to identify delays and support labor standards development.
• Assist in process mapping and workflow documentation, creating diagrams, SOPs, and visual work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and process optimization.
• Help develop and update work standards, including method sheets, job breakdowns, and SOPs.
• Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in layout planning by taking measurements, drafting basic layouts, and assisting with equipment moves or reconfiguration.
• Support quality and safety initiatives by collecting defect data and observing workstation ergonomics.
• Prepare reports and documentation, summarizing observations and improvement opportunities for engineers and supervisors.
• Coordinate with operators and supervisors, communicating findings and ensuring implementation of improvements.
