Job summary

MSA Safety is seeking a driven Industrial Engineering co-op to participate in real projects that improve processes, layouts, and data-driven decision making at our Cranberry Township site.

You will conduct time studies, support methods analysis, BOM maintenance, layout tasks with Sketch, and contribute to cost reduction and lean initiatives, while developing communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Basic experience with data analysis, methods and graphing.
• Creative problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools, with a special emphasis on Excel and Access.

Responsibilities

• Time studies.
• Methods analysis and improvement.
• Bill of Material and process routing maintenance.
• Layout work (equipment and work station) using Google Sketch.
• Cost analysis and reduction.
• Process evaluation and improvement.
• Lean, Kaizen, 6S and Value Stream Mapping activities.
