Job summary
GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer to identify facility design and personnel requirements to keep operations running smoothly in our warehouses.
You will develop work instructions, map workflows, and implement process improvements; monitor KPIs, support maintenance, and provide data for pricing and solutions teams across multi-site operations.
Travel up to 25% may be required; strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 1 year of engineering experience.
- Experience with analytical tools like flow charts and Pareto diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Identify facility design requirements based on activity levels and product flow.
- Develop production time studies, headcount analyses, downtime analyses, and efficiency plans.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize inbound, outbound and inventory operations.
- Perform value stream mapping and standardization across sites.
- Support pricing and solutions teams with operational cost data for RFPs.
- Track KPIs and develop basic analytics for operational metrics.
- Collaborate with vendors to identify equipment and automation solutions.
- Develop and manage project plans for major improvements.
- Daily P&L tracking for Finance.
