Job summary

Nokia in San Jose is seeking an Industrial/Mechanical Engineer to develop and maintain fab capacity models and improve equipment capabilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement capacity improvements.

The role requires TOC analysis, cost reductions, labor practices optimization, and collaboration with engineering to define yield improvement roadmaps. A strong command of AutoCAD, SAP, and Microsoft Office is expected along with independent work and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Experience in AutoCAD and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Fab capacity model and ongoing equipment capabilities.
• Use the Theory of constraints to identify opportunities for cost reduction, throughput, workflow improvements.
• Communicate with management and other personnel to develop production and design standards.
• Develop and implement best labor practices (touch time optimization, etc).
• Work closely with the engineering team to identify yield improvement roadmaps.
